Food For Thought.
In the late 20s and the 40s being referred to as "A Liberal" was a compliment!.
What happened??
Americans became "Fat Dumb And Conservative. A don't rock the boat philosophy.  That's what happened.
Right wing Republicans accuse liberals of being un-American, unpatriotic etc. yet the Constitution is a liberal document. The founders realizing they were not perfect provided for an amendment procedure.
Our Democratic Republic is not perfect.
Free enterprise economics is not perfect.
A liberal believes, as did our founding fathers, when a problem develops make changes as needed to correct the problem.
A conservative looks at the problem and says, so what it's not that bad, let's wait a while.
