Fewer pictures from the good life in Costa Rica. Looks like a nice vacation.

Vacation? I wish. I also wish I had a tan!

I work here in Costa Rica.

A person with homes in two countries just doesn’t sound poor to people without more than a small rental in only one country.

    Ouch.

I have to eat too and I guess a $1000 a month from my viewers is too much to ask.

I think I’m in the wrong profession. :(

Lisa, I have contributed to your cause at least a dozen times over the past 3 years and during that time I have not had a real vacation. 2 weekend trips to Reno are about all I can afford to do in a year. I know that you work in Costa Rica, I wish I could work in Costa Rica with a nice little cantina just down the street and an ocean view. You produce a great website but just don’t seem to mirror your “base”. This past donation was made Jan 26th and I have received nothing indicating that you have even received it. Getting back to basics and appreciating your contributors would do a lot to improve your donations.

Well, I just can’t make anyone happy today.

I believe I have thanked everyone and sent you an email too today. Thank you for your prolonged support, Jonathan.

I do apologize for having to sift through about 900 emails a day and sift out the spam but I do the best I can.

I see asking this question has pointed the finger at me. I agree, it must be my fault.

Have contributed in the past, and to your credit, you did thank me personally. But after two personal emails to you, one was supportive but constructive criticism which you promptly “outed” on your site, taking issue with my suggestions, then turning them over to be “shot at” by other readers who agreed with you, who then jumped me without knowing that I am totally in agreement with you politically, has sullied my enthusiasm to contribute again. And the sad part is…I love AHNC. I think less defensiveness and more integrity in dealing with supportive fans who are sincerely trying to be of help might be in order. Peace.

    Hi, Lisa,
so sorry some folks are giving you a hard time about your travels. they don’t know what your situation is and we all know what ‘assume’ does. ;-) not really sure what you can do to generate more revenue, but i’ll be sending you a check asap. if i think of anything, i’ll be sure to send it your way. can’t bear the thought of losing this great site!!! your readers need to step up to the plate. of course, we’re probably all Democrats so we’re not exactly Rockefellars or Bushes. ;-) hang in there, pal.
    love and hugs,
    Kathy

    Lisa,

Frankly I cannot believe that only 40 people have given $$$ to keep your website up and running, that’s a shame. Folks, I know times are tight, but think about it, if you think this site is worth your time, it’s worth your support.

    Best, Guy

I enjoy your site, nearly every day. I like what Paul says- it points out the fact that informing people of the truth and spreading peace & knowledge do not motivate people to spend money. Maybe if you seek out donations from organizations? Like ACLU or Moveon? Some of your viewers must be working in large org’s that have $ to kick down for good causes.

LOL - I love Paul’s idea! But no way, Jose.

Kathy and Guy - Thank you for your support. My loyalty to you all and this site is strong.

Seriously, people, am I the ONLY one who depends on Lisa and AllHatNoCattle to try to come to terms with a pinheaded idiot president and an Executive Branch oil bent and hell bound on squandering America’s place as leader of the world?
Why would you continue to embarrassing Lisa into having to ASK for donations to keep this site the most refreshing and informative medium for awareness in this world of tumult, indecision, and US agression?
Get up off your asses and donaye? Why do you even have to be asked?

I Like Pauls Idea, And My Name Is Not Jose.

I have been dropping in on your site nearly every weekday, and this was only the second time I have donated. I finally decided if I like your site and want it to be here, I should show a sign of support.

There are so many internet sites that ask for donations, it’s a matter of prioritizing for me and just supporting my favorites, and I hope enough people will come around for you.

Try posting what it costs to run the website, and tell people how much more you want. Tell them how much time you spend working at it. I don’t think you need to be hungry and poor in order to want some reciprocation for your work. Some people will donate; some won’t, just like some people will decently tip a good waiter and some never bother to give anybody a penny voluntarily, speaking of those who can afford to donate.

My only complaint with your site had been making fun of the President’s daughters. It is not their fault Bush is their father nor is it their fault if they seem to have a weakness with alcohol, and I found it unfair and unfunny. Other than that I find your humor first-class and well worth sending in a donation when I see the donation drive on the site.

Ya gotta be thick-skinned, though, Lisa! Don’t let the negative posters bother you. I predict your donations will improve.

If J&B have an alcohol problem, whose fault might it be if not theirs?? I believe that they are both adults and should show some responsibility for their actions. If Jenna has the need to do the “butt dance”, I’m sure that the troops in Iraq would enjoy seeing it. The twins need to be thick-skinned too.
