House of Representatives Protects Mark Foley, Accused Predator of House Pages
Almost two years to the day disgraced former congressman Mark Foley resigned after ABC News questioned him about sexually explicit instant messages with former congressional pages, state officials announced Friday that he won't face criminal charges in Florida after they concluded a long investigation into his associations with teenaged boys...The House of Representatives denied requests from FDLE "to review any computer equipment or emails that Foley used while in office," according to a summary of the state investigation, so investigators were unable to obtain original records of e-mails and instant messages. Foley also denied investigators access to his personal computers, according to the report.
Geez, we don't even protect our young house pages. Head hanging in shame.

EFF Sues Bush, Cheney and More
The Electronic Frontier
Foundation (EFF) has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA),
U.S. President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and other government
officials, alleging that an NSA electronic surveillance program continues to
illegally spy on U.S. residents.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday, alleges that the NSA is conducting mass
surveillance on U.S. residents, even as Bush and other officials say the program
only targets U.S. residents when they communicate with overseas terrorism
suspects. Filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California,
the lawsuit is a class-action complaint on behalf of all residential customers
of AT&T's telephone and Internet services.

Subject: Joe Scarborough calls reporter a son of a bitch on his tv show this morning
Lisa,
You nailed Joe years ago. He is an ass. I saw him call a reporter on his show a son of a bitch because the reporter said Scabby took millions in earmarks for beach replenishment in Pensacola. Mika his cohost made him apologize. They were all laughing. It was so uncomfortable to watch.
Could you imagine if Matt Lauer on NBC or John Roberts of CNN called someone a son of a bitch on their morning shows?
Not only is our country going to hell in a hand basket but we have these babbling bubbleheads leading the way. God help us.
If it wasn't for your website I'd just cry.
Love you,
Lorraine
Thank you for writing. Love you too!
Oddly enough, I saw Scabby blurt that out this morning and wondered if I was watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Joe is from the GOP school of "insult and giggle".
I'm glad to see Rachel Maddow is the number one show on MSNBC now. Joe must be so jealous, he's had 3 or 4 different shows on MSNBC and none of them got high ratings. I hope Rachel is earning more money than Scabby but I doubt it. You know, that glass ceiling thingy.
You'd think that MSNBC would get it - Democrat bashing pundits don't succeed as hosts on MSNBC only liberals like Olbermann and Maddow.
A couple of weeks ago Joe uses the bitch word once again and then threw an arrogant temper tantrum sprinkled with bullying. MSNBC must be so proud - Joe Scarborough melts down throws temper tantrum on live TV YouTube
No wonder most Americans still think Saddam caused 9-11 when we have people like Scarborough spinning us.
I'll keep trying to bring a smile to your face on AHNC, Lorraine, as hard as it might be.

Subject: What happened to America?
Hi Lisa,
I'm from Toledo, Spain. Help me understand why your president race is so close.
John McCain is 72, several bouts with virulent cancer and sounds old and weak as a speaker he left 100s of qualified republicans to choose pretty but not qualified vice president and he is tied with the talented Obama.
What has happened to your country?
Love your site...it has improved my English.
Guillermo
Bienvenido Guillermo. I'm always for improving the English!
What has happened to my country? Hatred has in my humble opinion. I felt it begin when Bill Clinton beat Papa Bush. After Clinton was elected right wing radio screamed hatred through Rush Limbaugh and various other voices. Then in the mid 90s the introduction of FoxNews and MSNBC TV news channels beat the drum for the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton had a name for it - the vast right wing conspiracy.
I extend apologies from America to you for this McCain is criticized for position on Spain Boston Globe
