Former FEMA head: Gov't didn't tell all on Katrina

Five years after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, the federal official at the heart of a firestorm over Washington's slow response is acknowledging the government's shortcomings.

If the Tea Baggers are all about balanced budgets and less government, they should revere Bill Clinton and revile Reagan and Bush. Yet, the opposite is the case. It's amazing how Tea Baggers can't absorb factual information.

It Was On The Internets So It Must Be True!

Fidel Castro says al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden is a bought-and-paid-for CIA agent who always popped up when former President George W. Bush needed to scare the world, arguing that documents recently posted on the Internet prove it.

My Dream For Glenn Beck … And America

I have a dream that one day crazed liars like Glenn Beck will no longer pollute our television and radio waves and the Internet.

I have a dream that one day the American people will stop being suckered by deranged media personalities like Glenn Beck.

I have a dream that one day Glenn Beck will headline a rally like his “restore honor” to America rally scheduled on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream Speech” … and nobody will show up.

My Dream For Glenn Beck … And America (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Oh, I have a dream for Glenn Beck:
That he’ll lose his unending blank check
To spread mad, evil lies
That are greeted as wise,
When they’re really insidious dreck.

Subject: Unwed mother

Hi Lisa,

Hope you're doing well.

Gee, Bristol Palin gives speeches (at $30T per), telling us that unwed teenage pregnancies don't pay. And, now she's on Dancing With The Stars (I used to like the show--not now!).

Why not a poster for unwed pregnant moms: "See, it does pay!" Or, "Do as I say, not as I do."

What is this country coming to?--there is no intelligence anymore.

Well, that's my rant for the day--thanks for being there.

I hope you feel better now, Cindy.

Personally, I'm surprised that some young, suave Republican hasn't swept Bristol off her feet.

What are you waiting for, Young Republicans? Or are you too scared of her mother?

To Help You Deflate Photo

A Dragon’s Blood Tree (Dracaena cinnabari) is seen on the island of Socotra, Yemen. The tree is so named because any injury to the bark results in a deep red liquid excreting from the scar – compared in the past to the “Blood of Dragons”.

I wish you all a peaceful weekend.
