Queer Eye for the Crooked Guys could have been the headliner on the above phototoon.  There is so much to make fun of--so little time.

Doesn't Dick Cheney look like the comedian, Bill Maher, in the above pic? Scary, huh? And Condi Rice looks more natural in the above attire, don't you agree? No makeover seems to help W--the smirk can't be erased by good fashion attire.

Karl Rove: Fla. 'Ground Zero' in 2004
Wednesday August 13, 2003 8:49 AM

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - Karl Rove, President Bush's top political adviser, says Florida will play a crucial role in the president's re-election strategy next year.

Rove, in an interview with editors and reporters of The News Herald of Panama City, said the campaign strategy in Florida would be a combination of ``brotherly love'' - a reference to the president's younger brother, Gov. Jeb Bush - and an effort to ``register, identify and turn out our vote.''

Dollars for prison enrollment
St. Petersburg Times- August 13, 2003

Florida prisons took in more inmates in June than in any month in the past decade, which creates a problem for which Gov. Jeb Bush has a ready solution....In this case, the governor is asking for $60-million to house new inmates while the universities are denied $66-million to accommodate eight times as many new students.

Sick Veteran Battles Bureaucracy Back Home
TampaBay Online 8-13-03

WASHINGTON (AP) - After Army Sgt. Vannessa Turner survived a still-unknown illness doctors feared would kill her, she thought her toughest battle was over.
But since a military flight brought Turner home she says she's had to fight to get medical treatment and can't even get personal items returned.

The homefront, she's finding, can be as daunting as the front lines in Iraq.

"It's easier to stay a soldier and be in harm's way than to come home and get care," said Turner, her quiet voice quaking with emotion....

Yeah, sure, Bush really cares about our troops.

1. Repeal the two tax cuts for the top 1% of the wealthiest Americans;

2. Make permanent the tax cuts for the rest of us;

3. Allow up to $10 Million exemption on the Inheritance Tax; thereafter tax the amount over that at 25%;

Lots of Emails:

I have request for you. Start using the phrase, "Fair and Balanced" as much as possible. Al Franken is being sued by FOX News for using this common phrase in the title of his new book. What a joke -- what's next. Are they going to sue Dan Rather for saying, "this just in"?

Let's make FOX sue everyone who uses the common phrase, "Fair and Balanced", so they look like the a*sholes that they are.

Dear GZ,
Great minds think alike. I hope you enjoy today's edition.

Subject: Is Ann Coulter Fox News'attorney?

Hi Lisa,

Just finished reading reading Al Franken's response to the fox law suit.

Here's an excerpt form the court papers, filed by fu*ks news :

In its court papers, Fox described the author and liberal commentator as "neither a journalist nor a television news personality. He is not a well-respected voice in American politics; rather, he appears to be shrill and unstable. His views lack any serious depth or insight."

Fox alleged that Franken was "either intoxicated or deranged" when he attacked the network and conservative host Bill O'Reilly at an April press correspondents dinner. The lawsuit also says that Franken has been described as "increasingly unfunny."

This writing smells like something from the poisoned keyboard of anny fanny.....

I think both she and f*cks news are becoming increasing un funny....

Got get 'em Big Al!

Take care,

Dear Tom,
Those allegations sure sound alot like Ann Coulter. If not, she was probably paid big fat compassionate conservative bucks as a consul.
Thanks Tom.

I don't think it's so much that southerners keep trying to win the civil war by reenacting it. They do reenactments up north. They even do them out here in the Pacific Northwest, which had virtually nothing to do with the civil war. It's just boys wanting to play soldier (I am amazed how many wifes get sucked into this, making and wearing the big frilly dresses in the heat and rain).

What bothers me is that white southerners won't give up on how badly they were wronged by the civil war. And, this includes whites whose ancestors were Yankees or still in Europe during the war. (I have lived in the south to experience it firsthand.)

J. Andrus

I find reenacting the Civil War akin to reenacting the bombing of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. It is absurd. Even if it is little boys wanting to play soldier--then they should join the military.
I agree with you how badly white southerners were wronged...they still are, the south still won't let in unions hence: poverty in all skin colors and a lower quality of life, education, clean air, etc...

Thanks for writing.

I love what you are doing; please keep doing it!

Dear George,
We love your thoughts, too.

Your Birthday Message to President Clinton

Dear Lisa Casey,

Tuesday, August 19, is President Clinton's 57th birthday. You can let President Clinton know how important his accomplishments have been to you and to all of America by sending him a message that you are committed to electing a new Democratic president in 2004.

America enjoyed eight years of peace and prosperity under President Clinton.

But in less than three years under President Bush, we have seen a massive reversal of the progress America made in the Clinton years. And we need your help to turn it around.

  • Job creation under Clinton has become record job loss under Bush.
  • Record budget surpluses have become record deficits that put a burden on our families and future generations.
  • Environmental protections have been rolled back, stripped away, and sold to the highest bidder.
  • Our hard-won civil liberties are disappearing before our very eyes.

As president, Bush has taken eight years of peace and prosperity and wrecked it, hurting real people in the process. He has misled the American people about his policies, from the reasons we went to war in Iraq to the reasons he passed massive tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans.

Nine Democratic candidates for president are making great cases to America that it's time for new leadership. The DNC is committed to making sure that whoever wins the Democratic nomination has the necessary resources to win in 2004 and restore peace and prosperity to America.

Let President Clinton know he remains in your hearts and minds with your gift to the DNC today. We'll pass along your personal message to President Clinton so he knows about your birthday gift of a better nation for all.

Your Donation Is Worth Double!

Thanks to generous donors participating in the DNC Partners for Victory Matching Fund, your donation to boot Bush out of the White House is worth twice as much to the DNC. Your donation of $57 in honor of Clinton's 57th birthday is worth $114. Your $100 donation is worth $200.

Please give generously with a secure online contribution today. President Bush is raising tens of millions of dollars so that he can have four more years to trash the Clinton record, four more years to mislead the American people, four more years to pay back his special interest contributors at the expense of working families.

Your gift today is vital to electing a Democratic president. The DNC has always been there to help win the White House for Democrats, providing vital help to President Clinton's campaigns in 1992 and 1996.

Give President Clinton the best gift of all for his 57th birthday: a brighter and better America.
