Hi Lisa:
What did the Democrats do when the Repubs did their dastardly deeds?
They sat on their big fat highly paid butts and let them.

The Democrats have let the Republicans get away with all
those
infractions without holding anyone accountable. I find that as
disturbing as the republican misdeeds (crimes). The Germans are still
seeking and bringing WW11 Nazi war criminals (i.e. John Demjanjuk) to
trial whose crimes were committed over 60 years ago, yet the Dems have a
hard time looking back a couple years. America executed Japanese
convicted of waterboarding U.S. POW's during WW11 and now we can't even
agree that that is torture. It is a pretty dark day for America taking
the high road. As a veteran and a proud American, this troubles me.

they haven’t egg-sackly been too strong in the cojones dept. the dems did give

Thanks for all you do lisa!

The only thing we have done to equal that long list of Republican failures is no
to prosecute Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice for war crimes.

Hello Lisa,
That is quite a list of accomplishments by the Republican party. We tax and
spend Democrats were to busy working on solutions to some of the nation’s
problems.
1 – We got the Dow Jones Industrial Average from 3,300 to 10,600
2 – We had the largest one year debt reduction in the history of the United
States. In the year 2000 we had a 200 billion surplus.
3 – Employment dropped to 4% in the year 2000.
4 – The median household income rose from $40,422.00 to $46,129.00 under
President Clinton.
Quite a comparison to the incompetent Republican party.

I was surprised at the number of people who responded and what they said.
The point of my question was to compare the two
parties and what they have done since 1974.
Watergate resulted in several convictions of Nixon's henchmen.
Iran-Contra resulted in eleven people convicted, but two convictions were
overturned on appeal.
Once the Republicans took control of Congress in 1994, the Democrats essentially became
powerless until 2006. Then the first female speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi,
a Democrat, told us that "impeachment was off the table." The
Republican cheers were heard around the world!
The Democrats of the Watergate and Iran-Contra era are down to a handful. The rest of the Democrats slowly rolled over to the Republican side.
I want to thank everyone who wrote. You opened my eyes quite a bit wider and I thank you for that.

Subject: Silence is as deadly as approval
Lisa,
Murdering abortion doctors got its start here in Pensacola. The recent murder of Dr. Tiller who preformed late term abortions brought back awful memories to me here in Pensacola. Dr David Gunn was the first abortion doctor in the US to be murdered and that happened in March, 1993. My wife knew him through her job as a nurse and was devastated by his death, she still is. His unrepentant murderer, Michael F. Griffin, was sentenced to life in prison.
As you know, a young,
inexperienced Joe Scarborough was running for US Congress at that time. Joe
Scarborough offered his skills as a beauty pageant lawyer to defend Griffin. The
judge said no due to Scarborough's lack of criminal experience. What a
beneficial political move by Joe. His district was a hotbed of anti-abortionists
and he knew it.. Joe never called for the protection of the local clinic, he
just cozied up to the hero of the anti-abortionists. So guess what, on July 29,
1994, another antiabortionist, Paul Hill, approached the abortion clinic. When
he spotted physician John Britton and his clinic escort, James Barrett, he shot
them both at close range with a shotgun. In addition to the two murders, Hill
seriously wounded Barrett's wife, Joan. He was arrested moments later. Both
murderers were close to the local antiabortion leader John Burt, later found
guilty of pedophilia.
Scarborough's silence on protecting those seeking and performing abortions, to me and many others here in Pensacola, was a stamp of approval on the first murder and possibly led to the second murder.
When Dr Tiller was recently gunned down, I noticed that Joe never mentioned the fact on his TV show, that he attempted to defend the murderer of the FIRST abortion doctor slain in the US. I watch his MSNBC show every morning and go out of my way NOT to buy any of the products advertised during his time slot. Its my simple but satisfying way of making a statement. And now that Starbucks has partnered with Morning Joe, I was more than happy to give Starbucks up too. McDonald's here I come!
Joe's brother lost the Republican primary for his Congressional seat. That's how much Joe is disliked around here since he quit a few months after he was reelected.. At least Pensacola was smart in that instance!
You are one of the few people who have reported on Scarborough. As you know, this is a news starved area. One tiny, ineffective newspaper and a small TV station. And I will always be grateful to you and your website for letting the world know just WHO Joe Scarborough is. He is an opportunist. Nothing more, nothing less. As you have said many times.
Thank Gawd for the Internet so none of this will be forgotten.
Luther - Pensacola, FL
PS Has Scarborough sent you anymore cease and desist letters about the dead aide found in his office?
Golly gee, no. Joe only sent me one cease and desist letter! I answered it and never heard back from him again. Hmmm, wonder why?
Wow, Luther, you brought back bad memories for me too. After the first abortion doctor was murdered my reporter husband interviewed that creep John Burt. Burt ran a "home for unwed mothers" in the Redneck Riviera , years later he was convicted of diddling one of those teen girls. That "home" was a fenced compound, with a Don't Tread On Me flag flapping in the wind. My husband was surprised that he had a license to operate that facility.
Burt was close with the two murderers and many believed he influenced and possibly instructed both murderers. Nice anti abortion people over there on Joe's beloved Redneck Riviera, eh? Well, they made him a Congressman after all.
The Redneck Riviera is called that for a reason. Its code for RACIST. I have never lived anywhere that was as racist as NW Florida and I live in Alabama now!
Why MSNBC has kept Joe on TV is beyond me...all his shows have had low ratings. I guess they just want a 6'4" beady eyed conservative on their network?
Seriously, Joe likes to brush things under his Redneck Rug like the dead aide found in his office and defending the murderer of the first abortion doctor in the US.
The Redneck Rivera deserves Joe. America doesn't or do they?
Thank you for writing and thank you for your kind words about AHNC.

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough all but came out and accused Financial Times managing editor Chrystia Freeland of being in the tank for the Obama administration.

Is There A Doctor In The House?
My friend needs help.
She has about 10 lumps on the right side of her neck extending from below her ear to her collarbone. They are soft and free floating and are growing. The lumps are small starting below her ear and increase in size to her collarbone where the largest one is about the size of a golf ball. They do not cause her pain. She has lost weight recently to the tune of about 15 lbs, she now weighs about 118 lbs. She blames the weight loss on the stress from her alcoholic husband, not her neck. I don’t buy it.
She has been without health insurance since her husband quit his well paying job a few years ago. She does work out of her home to pay the family bills and cannot obtain health insurance because she was told those undiagnosed lumps are a pre-existing condition. She does not qualify for Medicaid because she owns her home and has a small savings account.
She went to her primary care physician many months ago and was told she would
need a battery of blood tests, mri, cat-scan, xrays, etc. Well over $10,000. She
does not have $10,000. She said even if she did have $10,000 for the diagnosis,
how would she pay for the treatment.
Does anyone have any ideas on what she can do?
I'm so ashamed that we live in a country that does not provide affordable health care for its citizens.
