I wonder how many of the 1100 escaped Afghan prisoners participated in this Taliban surge? What a mess Bush has made of not one but two wars.

"President Bush is now in Europe. Again, you know, we like President Bush. I just don't think he has a real grasp of history. Did you see him in Berlin yesterday? He said, 'Am I crazy, or did there used to be a wall?'" --Jay Leno

Obama surprised a bunch of students in Chicago yesterday when he showed up

appearance last year at an eighth grade graduation. He was just there getting a

Is Olbermann Turning
Into O’Reilly?
http://www.madkane.com/madness/2008/06/14/is-olbermann-turning-into-oreilly/
Is it just me? Or is Keith Olbermann turning into Bill O’Reilly?
The bombastic commentary. The narcissism. And, of course, the misogyny.
I’d thought that once Obama clinched the Democratic nomination, it would be safe
to start watching Countdown again. Without Keith’s daily anti-Hillary target
practice, I might even be able to watch it without cringing.
Wrong!
Keith’s bloviating “Worst Person in the World” anti-Katie Couric tirade was
almost enough to make me turn to Bill O’Reilly. Talk about desperate!
And that brings me to my latest limerick:
Is Olbermann Turning Into O’Reilly?
By Madeleine Begun Kane
In the past I cheered Olbermann’s rants—
Loved his anti-war, anti-Bush stance.
But misogynous bluster
Is all he can muster
In Olbermann’s mirror-romance.

Lisa, great forum, I love it. Been following you from time to time for the last 5 years. I find it odd, though, that you would support a candidate that is willing to tax the living heck out of your means in life. What is really insane, and you don't cover, is the fact that this energy crunch we are going through, can be overcome, by not lobbying, or supporthig either of these(Red and Blue) candidates. Are you really as my friends say, a Marxist? You remind me more of a communist. John McInsane sucks. But, Obama, he's insane. But, what do we choose from. I frankly, thought Hillary Clinton was the best choice; save Mitt Romney.
Marxist? Communist? Me? Naw, I'm your everyday gun toting female Democrat. And proud of it.
I fully support alternative fuels such as bottling all that hot air spewing out of Washington.
You supported Romney and Clinton? Oh, I get it, this is a joke email!
Thanks for the laugh!

"Well, another defeat for President Bush today. It seems that the Supreme Court ruled that detainees at Guantanamo Bay can file legal challenges to their detention. President Bush is very bitter about this. He said he may have lost, but it was a deeply divided Court that voted 5-4. It was 5-4. You know, the same vote that made him president -- 5-4." --Jay Leno
