US sues NJ over effort to supply phone records
NorthJersey.com, NJ -
6-15-06
The federal government sued the New Jersey attorney general and other state officials Wednesday to stop them from seeking information about telephone companies' cooperation with the National Security Agency.

2500 American soldiers have now died for what? So journalists can't cover news out of Guantanamo or a state can't ask about their citizen's privacy violations from a company?  I bow my head in shame.

Disturbing News

Bush's Barb Backfires

President Bush, who often teases members of the White House press corps, apologized Wednesday after he poked fun at a reporter for wearing sunglasses without realizing they were needed for vision loss.

What's wrong with wearing sunglasses outside, vision impaired or not?

Thanks Lori!

I can only imagine what Bush will say or do at Graceland, but we know we will be laughing at him, not with him.

Jeb Jibberish

Something about Jim Davis gets Gov. Jeb Bush rolling.

For the second time this month, Bush on Wednesday berated the Democratic candidate for governor, saying an e-mail he sent Monday to supporters was a tacky political ploy at a time when people were worried about a tropical storm.

Subject: Are Online Democrats self imploding?

WTF is going on with online Democrats?  DU is having a slugfest like I never seen there.  Bartcop  was bashing KOS over a poll he had on his site. And Carolyn Kay of MakeThemAccountable sent an e-mail asking for "love and hugs in the blogosphere" this morning 'cause she is concerned about this, after she  was attacked by FireDogLake. Have you noticed this?!!! I visit your site to make me laugh and after all this recent hate I may visit it more than once a day to get away from all that crapola.

I'm glad I run a little comedy site and am not involved in all of this. You visit as much as you want, I have plenty of sections to choose from!

I have noticed that since the KOS convention, it seems to have brought the worst out in some people.  Seems like a combo of big ego's, envy and a lot of undeserved harsh words.

I used to think that the phrase "liberal elites" was just a right wing description but after reading that FireDogLake personally attacking Anna Marie Cox, the original www.wonkette.com , I imagine the GOPers are laughing their asses off, watching the "liberal elites" harshly attack their fellow Democrats.

I think over at DU www.democraticunderground.com   many people felt let down by TruthOut, and their claim that Rove was indicted last May 23, but turning on each other won't solve anything.

As far as Bartcop goes -- geez, I guess he wants KOS online polls to state that they are ALL unscientific or something like that, but we already know that online participation polls are just that.

I like it better when Ann Coulter shows her anemic ass, not fellow Democrats showing theirs.

With the midterm elections coming up, I pray this isn't a sign of what is to come.

Bush's Daughter Applies for a Job?

EVERYBODY checks out Craigslist - even President Bush's daughter. Sources say Barbara Bush, 24, recently applied for a position at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum on Fifth Avenue after spotting a job listing on the Web site.

"A few weeks after U.S. troops dropped two 500-pound surprises on al-Zarqawi, the White House dropped a 190-pound surprise on U.S. troops in the form of a presidential visit. Said the Iraqi prime minister to the president, 'If I knew you were coming, I'd have built an infrastructure'" --Jon Stewart

Hi Wily,

I guess I come across as a Christian basher to people who believe Jesus is really a Republican with an AK-47.
