Cafeteria Constitutionalists

In the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration determined that certain constitutional rights would not apply as the U.S. stepped up its response to terrorism, according to documents released to the public for the first time.
"Our new
attorney general, Eric Holder, said individual states are now going to determine
their own marijuana laws, and that the DEA is going to end raids on the
California cannabis club. So, ask your doctor if pot is right for you." --Bill

Disturbing News
"He is the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party, and he has been up front about what he views, and hasn't stepped back from that, which is he hopes for failure. He said it, and I compliment him on his honesty. But that's their philosophy that's enunciated by Rush Limbaugh and I think that's the wrong philosophy for America." - Rahm Emanuel
Gracious Loser No Where To Be Found

It might feel like it’s the
2008 presidential campaign all over again….hope & change vs. business as
usual…but it’s not.
In a role reversal - this time it's Sen. John McCain calling out Obama for
representing “business as usual.”
Speaking on the Senate floor yesterday, Senator McCain said that Obama’s
anticipated signing of the $410 billion omnibus bill laden with nearly $5.5
billion of earmark spending
is an insult to the American people.

"Yeah, CitiCorp got their third bailout from the taxpayers. We now own 36 percent of CitiCorp, huh? And the CEO of CitiBank said, 'This does not change our strategy, our operations, or our governance.' Well, that's a relief. Just keep that s**tty bank magic going, would you?" --Bill Maher

Meghan McCain's
love life is on life support - thanks a lot, Dad.
From the date who complimented her dinner order as a "maverick choice" to the

the daughter of John McCain concludes that the 2008 presidential race "killed my

Missing Tapes? How Nixonian
The Justice
Department early Monday was forced to admit to a federal judge that the Central
Intelligence Agency has destroyed at least 92 videotapes, some of which may
contain images of “enhanced interrogation sessions” with detainees. Spies
routinely destroy evidence of their own work. That’s often what makes them good
spies. But the scope and timing of the destruction of the evidence warrants far
more public attention than it has so far received.
Although there is usually great separation between truth and fact when it comes
to the intelligence community, it looks quite clearly as though
CIA officials during the Bush Administration deliberately deceived the 9/11
Commission, and the federal courts, by destroying tapes that had been
formally requested by those bodies.

We're completely broke, and deeply in debt, but we're going to do a bank rescue, universal healthcare, give everybody a college education, have a bigger war in Afghanistan, cut the deficit in half, and cure cancer. We were this close to universal bl*w jobs." --Bill Maher

They are taking liberal radio off the air in Miami. Store Broadcasting says the numbers are down. They are going to make it another Sports Talk Channel. We already have 4 of those.I think the Republicans are trying to shut us down before the next election.

What a shame.
The way Rush has been acting lately, I think the Republicans are capable of doing anything.
At least you have/had liberal radio. FM up here is Rush, Neal Boortz, Preaching Jesus channels, Country Music, Sports and finally NPR. Not one progressive/liberal channel. Nada.
