 Iraqi leaders are hoping Barack Obama wins the White House and speeds up the withdrawal of American troops from their country, while ordinary Iraqis seem indifferent to the US elections.

And a new poll shows that only one out of four people approve of the job President Bush is doing. That means when he’s having dinner with his wife and two daughters, he’s the only one at the table who thinks he’s doing a good job. - Jay Leno

Jack Abramoff Update

A federal judge has rejected the Bush administration's attempt to shield records that may shed light on the White House visits of now imprisoned lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

In several orders this week, U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth sided with watchdog groups Judicial Watch and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, which are suing the Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security for access to the logs.
