I listened to Bush's speech and press conference this morning and he repeatedly said he wants a "nooklr-free peninshula" in Korea. Heaven help us, please!
Let's
see... The President's approval rating is at an all-time low. North Korea is
setting off bombs. Iraq is a mess. The Foley scandal keeps getting worse. Even
the Democrats may not be able to blow this election. - Jay Leno

Subject: Food for thought
Lisa, I agree with you, I am
no fan of Bush who, as a conservative constitutionalist, I think is a criminal.
He stabbed his supporters in the back. I equally don’t like Democrats who are
also pawns of Big Corporations. You might not think so, but they are no better.
I am not saying you are a Democrat lover, but how can you think that
multi-millionaires like Pelosi and Kerry or Stalinists like H. Clinton give a
rat’s ass about us?? You should be giving the Democrats equal time and quit
following the party line. I guess that would take some effort of intelligent,
independent thinking instead of puking up the same crap every other brain-washed
media indoctrinated, liberal college professor trained PC individual thinks.
PLEASE READ BELOW AND GET A CLUE - BOTH PARTIES ARE CORRUPT

Social Security
by Unknown
(via forwarded email)
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA)Program. He
promised:
That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,
That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first$1,400 of their
annual incomes into the Program,
That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be
deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather
than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund
the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,
That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed asincome.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social
Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85%
of the money we paid to the Federal government to"put away," you may be
interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust" fund
and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically-controlled House andSenate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for SocialSecurity
(FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking"deciding vote as
President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into
this country, and at age 65, began to receive SSI Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime
into it!
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violation of the original
contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans
want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during this 2004 electionyear!
Gee tell me how you feel, Mike.
Social Security would never have existed if it was up to the Republicans and we would have an enormous elderly homeless problem today as we had in the 1930s and 1940s.
Sure makes Al Gore's Social Security lockbox look good now, eh?
I could dispute many of your points above but instead, I'll say this -- the way to change the politics of this country is from within. And I don't believe all politicians are corrupt, if I did I would renounce my citizenship.
I do believe in the good of the American people.
It's about time we started showing our good side instead of our asses.
