Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, in town for a fund-raiser for Sen. Rick Santorum, had a close encounter with a large group of anti-Republican protesters as he was making his way to the Duquesne Club, Downtown.

It was about 4:15 when Mr. Bush met up with the protesters near the corner of Liberty and Sixth avenues...Protesters said Gov. Bush blew them a kiss, acknowledging the crowd of about 30 chanting pickets that was made up of United Steelworkers and members of Uprise Counter Recruitment, a tour traveling through 22 cities to support anti-war efforts.

Many chiefs of staff are close, very close, to their bosses on Capitol Hill. But none are closer than Scott Palmer is to Denny Hastert. They don't just work together all day, they live together.

There are plenty of odd couple Congressmen who have roomed together on Capitol Hill, but I have never heard of a chief of staff who rooms with his boss. It is beyond unusual.

Dear Lisa,
Love your sight, I'm amused by just about everything posted here. But the entire thread this weekend seems to play right into Bush's hands: sex, sex, and more sex. Practically nothing about S.3930, stripping us our rights to habeas corpus, and pardoning the entire administration for all their various and sundry war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Nothing about the huge "embassy" being constructed in Baghdad. No mention of the lead up to what, from what I have been able to garner from surfing web sites, is the real October surprise, our unwarranted attack on Iran. All Foley all the time is no different, really, than all Natalie all the time, all Jon Benet all the time, all Tom Cruise's spawn all the time, I think you get the idea.

Preying on young men by a US Congressman is not only sexual harassment but is sickening. But sex sells, especially if it is Republican Gay Pedophile Sex!

 

Plus it's s humorist's dream!!

 

If my teenage son had been one of those pages and received any improper IMs/e-mails from Foley, I would have made copies.  I would have faxed them to my lawyer, Foley's hometown newspaper, Washington Post, etc.. the state attorney's office, posted it on this website and would have told anyone else who would have listened. I wonder why none of these parents took this to the media or law enforcement ? Or did they?

 

The crime now is in the cover-up, which looks as though it leads right to the Speaker of the House. Remember, impeachment doesn't only apply to the president and Democratic control of the House could pull their closet door wide open and all those skeletons would topple out.

 

And then, hopefully the Democrats will try and repair all the destruction done by these Republicans.
